Skullcandy SGHEBZ-12 Kobe Bryant Hesh DJ Headphone Review

Skullcandy SGHEBZ-12 Kobe Bryant Hesh DJ Headphone (White with NBA Lakers Colors)
I saw these online before they were released so I did a lot of looking around online to see where I could get them the soonest and cheapest... Amazon had them for $5 cheaper than everybody else plus I signed up for a free month of Amazon Prime and got free 2-day shipping.
The headphones are SICK... I get rave reviews about them from everybody, plus I can answer my iPhone calls and then it automatically switches back to my music (even with pandora) when the call is done.
However, if you snowboard at Bear Mountain, don't buy these, or else I will kill you
The sound quality is nice
dre headphones review
The sound quality is nice but not much greater than my 50 dollar pair of Sony headphones. The only difference is a little more base and the noise reduction is nice. The design is admirably sleek and more attractive than my 50 dollar pair. They are certainly overpriced.
Having to use two AAA batteries simply for the 300 dollar headphones to work is also ridiculous. Whats funny is that as i am writing this, i left the switch on and it has been on for the last 2 hours without me using them. Im pretty sure this will happen quite a bit. I would not buy another pair. Im sure there are many that love theirs a lot more. Save your money or spend it more wisely than i did. If someone were to give me $150 they can have them and i have only worn them 3 times, Dr Dre and Monster, what a lovely pair

These are GREAT headphones!,
I will start by saying I am a bit of a headphone junkie. I have Grados, Sony's, Ultrasone's, Bose and Sennheizer's to name a few. I sampled these headphones at the Apple store and I was impressed, but wasn't blown away. I, however, continued to read about these cans and saw much of what you are probably seeing...good and bad reviews. I decided to give them a full home test and ponied up $232 to buy them new. I will say that out of the box there aren't many headphones that look this good. They are lookers, no doubt, but that doesn't mean much when it comes to performance. I primarily listen to old school rap and punk rock/modern rock. These headphones are perfect for these genres. The bass is great. Not boomy....just tight, powerful and crisp. The treble is above average, but they certainly aren't bright, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The mids seem to be just right. I like my Grados SR60s, but they are an open ear design and can't be played when you are near people unless you want them to hear your tunes. The Grados also seem to be too bright at times...certainly brighter than these. Overall the sound is great for what I listen too. I don't see these being great for classical music or acoustic music, but again I am saying great. They would be good. The build quality seems good. These are also extremely comfortable. Extremely. The noise cancelling is OK. The Bose QC 15s are certainly better in this arena. That is fact, not an opinion. These headphones also play loud. They sync well with your iPods. Easily powered. I will summarize my short review by saying these are certainly worth what I paid. You do get what you pay for. You will look good and get good, solid sound with some noise cancelling properties. They stow away easily and come well packaged. I strongly suggest you give these a whirl. I doubt you will be disappointed. Remember...you need to give these about 50 hours of break-in time. You will see a discernable gain after break-in. Nice job Monster. I am impressed. Thanks!
